Cold temps predicted.. 18° and 19° is cold by any standard and bunny rabbits are very sensitive to high and low temperatures.

I purchased a Chicken/Bunny square heat lamp on amazon that was pretty cheap with hardware to hang and I’m feel pretty good it should keep the bunnies cozy and warm.

We have to keep in mind when the temperatures drop that our furry family members may need special accommodations. Water dishes freezing or bitter cold temps can be harmful.

For the dogs they have insulated houses and jackets. The horses slow feeders. Cats, well they have indoor outdoor enclosures so if it gets cold they simply come in.

For me, it’s time to bust out the heavy socks hat and jacket and be sure to have plenty of dark roast on hand.

We are SO excited to be full speed ahead into 2026, Year Of The Horse I believe it is.. So fitting!

Theres been some discussion and talk about Jem’s Legacy After Hours Podcast and it’s here!! It’s Real People..

Today we break ground on phase one of the development of the Podcast Set which is Firewise cleanup and clearing work.

The set itself will have a beautiful Barrel Sauna, Cold Plunge Tank, Fire Pit, Bridge and most importantly will be hosting guests who are engaged in charitable services among other things helping the homeless, Supporting oir local Foodbanks and of course all those in the trenches helping the Animals in all ways.

🥶🥶🥶 Darn Cold this morning I can tell ya that.

Update on all the new slow feeders, especially the bail net feeder I left on the ground last night.

Anyone caring for and responsible for any animal, has woke up wondering is that cat okay, better check the heater, did the trap get that dog...

So... I was worried about the netted slow feeder that was secured around a bail of Teff Hay.
All is good as I was told it would be.

Horses produce A LOT of acid and the ideal scenario is for them to be able to graze all day and night so their stomachs are not empty and all that acid left to cause ulcers which is common in Equine.

Today I plan to elevate the bail slow feeder, getting it off the ground and placing it under a cover as snow and rain are expected.

I have had horses for less than a year.. My days are long and I learn new things daily.

As I lean, I share in hope that someone out there with a horse or donkey can benefit from learning something useful information wise.

For now, thank you for following, I am headed to the main house for coffee!!

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to one and ALL. Yup that means our furry family members to, we can’t forget them.

There are many dogs and cats, horses and donkeys waiting for their forever home. Please let’s not only love our animals, but pray for the animals waiting and waiting for the tides to turn their way.

I never take for granted the animals in my life and at the Sanctuary. I am as much a rescue and Charity Case as they are let me tell you.

I am so blessed to be surrounded by animals to be chosen to care for them forever and ever is a True blessing and my life’s calling.

They love toys and I love buying them toys.

Pets enrich our lives and their love is unconditional ❤️🙏

Please let’s together save as many lives as we can in 2026 through adoption and rescue!!

On our way back to Arizona we stopped in Gallup, N

On our way back to Arizona we stopped in Gallup, New Mexico to see Snoopy and Sunshine, the incredible women behind @rezanimalprotectors their shelter on the reservation rescues countless dogs and cats from an area with an estimated half a million strays.

We could not visit the shelter this time, but meeting in Gallup gave us the chance to hear their updates. They have officially become a nonprofit since our last visit, an amazing milestone especially on the reservation.

One of their biggest needs right now is funding for a website, and we are stepping in to help. A perfect way to end the final day of our 6 state charity tour.

Made a stop in Colorado Springs to visit @catsatwildbluecats an organization that’s truly on top of their game. They’re now saving up to 1,700 cats a year, and the growth since I was here last is incredible. From the expanded facilities to the fine-tuned systems they’ve put in place, it’s clear they’re making a serious impact.

We also had the chance to talk about a newer medication called Aviaton, which is helping fight disease and improve quality of life for the cats in their care. The level of knowledge and dedication here is next level.

Always inspiring to see what passion, hard work, and heart can build in just a year.

Woke up in Deadwood with that unmistakable energy

Woke up in Deadwood with that unmistakable energy in the air, Sturgis is calling. Rolled out early for the Mayor’s Ride, riding alongside folks from all over who share the same love for the open road. There’s nothing like cruising into Sturgis & through the Black Hills & the sound of bikes echoing through the town.

Spent the rest of the day soaking in the rally, good food, better people, and stories flying in every direction. Finally got my patches sewn onto my vest too! It truly felt like the last piece falling into place.

Long days, loud bikes, and the kind of memories you carry for a lifetime.

Leaving from the center of downtown Denver, we set out with nothing but open road ahead. Through the rugged Rockies, across the wide windblown plains of Wyoming, and into the shadowy pines of the Black Hills, each mile pulling us closer to Deadwood and the heart of Sturgis.

What made the drive even better were the people we met along the way. From fellow riders to animal lovers, every stop brought good conversations, shared laughs, and that unspoken bond you only find out on the road.

Grateful for the memories, the miles, and the people who make the journey feel like something bigger.

That's right, a 6 state Charity Tour and we welcome Jim and his amazing Harley-Davidson Road Glide 3 who will be one of the riders this year.
